Get to know us
Every great race begins with a single step — and ours began with a vision.
Women of Obstacle Racing (WOR) was created to unite, empower, and celebrate women who dare to challenge themselves through obstacle racing. From mud runs to elite championships, WOR represents a growing movement of women who choose courage over comfort, and strength over self-doubt.
What started as a few racers encouraging one another on the course has evolved into a global sisterhood — one that thrives on grit, passion, and purpose. Here, we lift each other up, cheer each other on, and remind the world that no obstacle is too great when women rise together.

Our mission
To empower women to discover their strength, build community, and redefine what it means to be powerful — both on and off the racecourse.
We believe that obstacle racing is more than a sport — it’s a mirror of life. Every wall, rope, and trench is a chance to prove what we’re made of, to grow stronger in body and mind, and to remind ourselves that we were built for this.
Our vision
To create a global sisterhood where women rise through challenge, celebrate strength, and conquer every obstacle—on the course and in life.
We envision a world where women of every background have the courage, support, and confidence to push past limits, embrace their power, and inspire others to do the same. Through racing, resilience, and real stories, Women of Racing redefines what it means to be strong — together.

Our Founder's Message
“When I started racing, I wasn’t chasing medals — I was chasing myself. I wanted to prove that I was capable of more than my fears told me I was. That’s what THIS IS WOR - Women of Obstacle Racing is about: the power to rise, rebuild, and redefine who we are through every challenge we face.
This isn’t just about racing — it’s about living without limits.”
— Elizabeth Rivera, Founder of THIS IS WOR - Women of Obstacle Racing
